Facilities Management and Security Services
Summary
This open framework, let under the The Procurement Act 2023, gives public sector organisations access to a range of facilities management and security services.
Description
You can access a complete range of facilities management (FM) and security services including, but not limited to:
- asset and building maintenance
- cleaning services
- waste services
- guarding services such as static and mobile patrolling and manning of receptions
- technical security services
- statutory obligations (such as asbestos management, electrical testing and portable appliance testing)
- catering services
- reception services
- miscellaneous FM services (such as sports and leisure, first aid and medical services)
- gardening and plant care (horticultural) services
- computer-aided facilities management (CAFM)
- helpdesk services
- video surveillance systems, such as CCTV
- security consultancy services
- care and custody services
This agreement will replace our current frameworks:
- RM6232 Facilities Management and Workplace Services
- RM6257 Security – Physical, Technical and Support Services

Service types
To be determined during the market engagement but will typically include customer solutions covering:
Total facilities management (TFM)
TFM is a comprehensive approach to managing facilities and infrastructure maintenance, operation, and repair. TFM typically involves a combination of hard and soft services, including cleaning, security, landscaping, utilities and building maintenance
Hard Facilities Management
Hard facilities management services relate to the physical structure of the building. Hard FM services include: Gas, plumbing, and heating.
Soft Facilities Management
Soft facilities management services are generally services managed by people, like waste management, cleaning, security and reception services.
Guarding Services
Guarding services such as, static and mobile patrolling and manning of receptions, dealing with visitors and monitoring video surveillance systems
Security services
Installation and maintenance of security systems, for example alarms, perimeter fencing and locks, consultancy services, risk and security assessments
