Scottish Central Government: Heat Network Fund

Category

Heat networks and energy efficiency

Description

This opportunity is to support the development and rollout of zero emission heat networks across Scotland. This fair and open fund aims to stimulate commercial interest, investment and maximise Scotland’s vast potential in the low carbon sector, whilst contributing to the positive progress on reducing Scotland’s greenhouse gas emissions.

The Heat in Buildings Strategy recognises that delivery programmes must now move to a new phase – one capable of supporting deployment at an unprecedented scale. Delivery programmes – and auxiliary support – will need to underpin the mass move from fossil fuel reliant systems to low and zero emissions heating in tandem with achieving a good standard of energy efficiency across all buildings.

Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV): on-street residential charging scheme

Category

Electric vehicle charging

Description

The purpose of the scheme is to increase the availability of on-street charge points in residential streets where off-street parking is not available, thereby ensuring that on-street parking is not a barrier to realising the benefits of owning an electric vehicle (EV).

The scheme gives local authorities access to grant funding that can be used to part-fund the procurement and installation of on-street EV charge point infrastructure for residential needs, in line with the minimum technical specifications. We encourage local authorities to apply for and take advantage of this funding, while it is available, to help prepare for and support the transition towards zero-emission vehicles.
